We start the month with a new moon in Cancer on July 6th. The new moon forms the base, the foundation for the full moon that will follow later in the month. With the moon in Cancer – home, family, nurturing and children (including our inner child) take center stage. We “feel” everything when we are in Cancer’s vibration. Are you yearning for your true home? Are your thoughts with family – or those that you consider your family? Are you wishing for someone to nurture or someone to nurture you? How can you go back in time and nurture that child in you that is begging for love and attention?
Mars in Aries, our “I Am” energy is now challenging Jupiter, representing faith, wisdom, and rising to our highest and best, etc. Jupiter is telling us that it is time to rise to our challenges and realize that nothing is impossible for us now. At the same time we must remember that the “I Am” energy is not just about us, it is about being One with all Creation, all life. We must remember that the Best is for every one. Here is where we join these energies with the new moon in Cancer. We are a Family with all life. When we give our best to others, it returns to us in the form of feelings of satisfaction, love, compassion and fulfillment.
We must remind ourselves that when we see destruction and pain senselessly occurring all around us that those who are involved have forgotten the One Family, One Creation and are acting out of anger and fear. They have not remembered that love is the answer to all anger, all fear. This new moon also reminds us of the healing power of love through prayer and forgiveness. Do not allow yourself to give power to these things through your own anger and fear. Instead send out the nurturing love of the Divine Mother to all.
Retrograde Neptune also asks us to remember that we are one family in spirit. Presently in the sign of Aquarius we are also reminded that we must broaden our base to include all of humanity; to work together in unity rather than competing. To remember that we were all created from the same Source and that we are all family.
Uranus in Pisces is also in retrograde motion. Reminding us that old forms of separation of spirit must break down to come into unity. We must look deeper inside our own individual spirits and see that we are not separate from one another. It is time to discover the treasures within our fellow human beings and all other forms of life that make us a Whole World – One Creation.
Saturn, who represents structure in our lives, will begin his movement into Leo, July 16th. Leo is a sign of power, of creating from that power – to be the best we can possibly be – to make ourselves visible in the light of the world. What is your Best? How can you begin to use your power more constructively for the benefit of all? Where are you ready to shine your light?
The full moon in Capricorn occurs on July 21st. The full moon is the culmination of the power of the new moon that occurred earlier in the month. This full moon can help you bring your desires for a more stable and loving family into manifestation. Capricorn is all about structure, a firm foundation – making a commitment to be strong in whatever you are striving for or to be. Use this strong manifestation energy to build a firm foundation for your home, your world, your family – for healing old wounds inside of you and those you love.
Mercury, the divine messenger, will go in retrograde motion on July 23rd. Mercury is presently in the sign of Leo. As he begins his backward motion we will be asked to review our pursuits of power, creation and light. What would you like to change? You now have the gift of being able to return to what you have created or participated in and see what you would do differently. If it hasn’t been working – what can you do to change the situation? Also, remember because the communicator is going backward that messages have a tendency to be mis-communicated during this time as well as delayed. Short distance travel can also be somewhat strange with delays and directions somewhat vague or just totally wrong. So, double check everything during this time. Make sure you read any contracts carefully – double check your directions and your messages.
Much or this month is about remembering and changing. Know that retrograde planets do not compel you to do anything. They offer you the opportunity to change by reviewing and remembering what your original goal may have been. Use these energies as a gift and know that when something feels familiar that you are simply reviewing something that has already occurred in your life. Release it if you do not wish to experience it again. Embrace it if you are pleased with what you see and feel.
