APRIL NEWS
April is a power packed month. The action this month is dominated by two eclipses. On April 8th we have a Solar Eclipse in Aries. Solar eclipses occur on New Moons. In Aries we have the opportunity to give birth; to set the foundation for a new life – to release old karmic patterns. The ruling planet of Aries, Mars, is now moving through Aquarius – the sign of humanity and its ever changing consciousness - giving us the initiative to move in radical new directions. Mars also comes together with Neptune within a few days of this eclipse. Neptune represents our Spirit, our highest level of unconditional love and compassion. The warrior in us, Mars, now merges with the highest level of our Spirit, represented by Neptune. These two energies coming together gives us the impetus to stand up for what we truly believe is right for ourselves and our world. Mars is also in very good aspect with Jupiter who represents our wisdom, the ability to stretch our boundaries and reach for our highest and best.
Mercury, our ability to communicate also moves out of retrograde motion on the 11th – Mercury’s retrograde motion over the past three weeks was all about going backward and reviewing and repairing our thought patterns, the way we have communicated to others. As Mercury moves forward again we now can look at our lives with a new fresh outlook.
All of this positive alignment of energy is a Gift, an opportunity to set a new powerful spiritual foundation for ourselves and our world.
April 24th we will have a Lunar Eclipse in the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is the Phoenix, the mythical creature of fire that plunges to the earth to its death and then reemerges from its ashes. It is the symbol of death and rebirth. It is time to remind ourselves that death of any part of our lives is also a rebirth. In Scorpio energy we are required to look deep within ourselves. Here is where we face our deepest fears and our most powerful desires. While the moon is in Scorpio it interacts with the Sun in Taurus. Taurus rules our physical world, our possessions, our sense of worth, our material security. We must now look at our material world and our deepest emotional self and bring them into balance. What is it that we truly desire? Are we giving ourselves, our true worth away for material gain? Now is the time to truly let ourselves look at what we really want to build not only for ourselves but for the world we live in. This eclipse will give us that opportunity.
One thing is important to remember about an eclipse. It seems to shut out the light temporarily– much like turning off a circuit breaker. Before an eclipse and shortly after an eclipse, it is difficult for us to see what is before us. After the eclipse (when the circuit breaker is turned back on) the energy surge is strong and gives our desires the power we need to move forward. One way to look at this “blackout” is like going into our closet, the quiet place of our Soul, and giving our prayer to God. It is a time of faith, where the power is unseen but strongly felt. That is what is being asked of all of now – to believe, to have faith in ourselves, our world, and Creation.
Know that the blindfold will be removed from your eyes and the veil from your Spirit this month. If you will allow the changes and are willing to set a new foundation for your life, you too can arise from the ashes and fly again.
