A Month to Remember and Give Thanks
This will be a month of many mixed influences.
On Sunday, November 7th, Saturn begins its retrograde motion which will last until late March. Saturn is the planet of authority, our structure/framework on which we build our lives, our government, and our society. This is the time when we individually and as a people must examine our lives and our structures and see what is working and what has not. This reviewing (retrograde) can give us some very important answers that we can build a new life, a new world upon.
The new moon in Scorpio (November 12th) asks us to look deep inside and truly see what our own motivations are – a time when we explore the deep inner self. A new moon is a new beginning, a new foundation. This one is especially important because it ask us to look at what we have hidden that needs to be addressed on a personal basis and as a people.
On November 11th the planet Uranus moves out of retrograde. Its movement forward begins on 11/11 at 11:11 am. Eleven is a Master number in Numerology. It asks us to stand in our own strength and leadership abilities – One. It also stands as a unit of two – the ones added together. Look at the numbers standing side by side. They look like two pillars of a temple, together holding up Truth. They are not one leaning on the other expecting to be supported. This is a time in our lives we are asked to stand strong together but not giving our authority to another to “fix our world, our lives”. This is a time when we must find and use our strength, our own leadership abilities. Uranus is a catalyst planet. It gave us the time when it was retrograde (going backwards, looking back) to access what is not working in our world. Now it moves forward and we must move forward with it.
The Gemini Full (November 26th) is tied to the new moon that has just passed. It now tells us to come out of the hidden places and do something about what we have learned about the hidden self. It is time to communicate, talk to each other. Realize that we are One Soul, One Life – One Creation. Let’s transcend our differences, our conditioning and come together as a People. Through the realization of this Oneness we can come together again in Unity.
On November 30th, Mercury begins its retrograde motion for approximately 3 weeks. Look at the R in retrograde – it means returning, redoing, remembering, etc. Mercury is a planet of communication. During its retrograde period communications can get pretty muddled. What you say may not be what people hear. Be patient when you are traveling short distances (Mercury also rules this area). If you get caught in traffic jams, use the time to be calm and “remember”. What can you redo now and make it right this time? It may be just cleaning out the closet – both physical and mentally. Mercury retrograde is not a good time to sign new contracts or agreements. Why? Because the energy of communication becomes confused and unclear during Mercury retrograde. This may mean that you will be redoing the whole thing. So, if possible, postpone any new contracts. If it cannot be avoided, carefully read all documents before signing.
Overall, this is the month of Thanksgiving. The changes that have occurred in our lives recently have been challenging. But we grow stronger with changes. They ask us to come out of our cocoons and be aware, awake. We are alive and life is the Best of All Blessings. Be Thankful for this life. It is an adventure that is constantly growing, constantly changing. Embrace it and grow with it. Be thankful for the wonderful smells of Thanksgiving, for another new day to make more changes, to come together with those we love, the chance to come to Peace with all others. Truly count your Blessings and share them with others.
